My husband Todd and I enjoyed our stay very much. The tranquility of the place enabled us to get the R&R that we needed and the alert staff created an environment to relax in and enjoy the finer side of life as well. The meals were fabulous and the views were well worth the walk.

Thanksgiving, 2012 (Farm House)--The entire Schick family had a great Thanksgiving in the Farm House. So peaceful and the children loved the horses!! Food was terrific. Thank you for putting so much time and money into a place where others may spend quality time together.

Nov. 7 - 9, 2012 (Teacher's Cottage)--We came to get closer to Lost Maples (which was a disappointment this year) and to check out the Comfort area. Riven Rock Ranch was NOT a disappointment, in fact, far better than we expected. The views are beautiful and as much color change below as at Lost Maples. The Teacher's Cottage is a dream. Thanks for the change. The Terrace Grill has great food and all the staff are so friendly - especially Mary Anne.
We enjoyed the hay mowing and baling while we were here. We will definitely be back!

October 28 - 30, 2012 (Parvin's)--Beautiful and tranquil setting; what a magnificent 2 ½ days! Cannot wait to come back. 5 Star breakfast, great views of sunset over the Guadalupe, peaceful and natural 24 hours a day. The house itself may have been too perfect. We may have to build one back in Dallas to copy it! AAARGH!

Oct. 27, 2012 (Farm House)--Riven Rock and the Farm House exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds. Our niece's wedding was a fabulous event and the staff and attention to detail made it even more special. Our family assembled in the Farm House coming from Texas, Ohio and Florida and we all agree that we would love to come back again.

Sept 28 - 30, 2012 (Parvin's Cottage)--Perfect, tranquil - PERFECT. Facility, grounds, views, amenities, staff, food - PERFECT. Great proximity to various points within the hill country. We thoroughly enjoyed our girl's weekend here! Loved chatting and laughing by the fire and on the patio enjoying the fantastic views, while enjoying a glass of wine. We hate to leave - but we will be back. :-)

Sept 24, 2012 (Teacher's Cottage)--WOW! I don't know where to start! Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The staff was so friendly; the cottage had everything we could have needed. It was clean, decorated to perfection and we were greeted with homemade cookies and ice in our ice bucket. Perfect timing! The food was delicious. The scenery so beautiful and serene! We left rested and relaxed. To be honest, my husband is dragging me out - I don't want to leave (and neither does he!) We will definitely be back!

Sept. 7, 2012 (Guest House)--Being from the city of Houston, we arrived here at the Guest House, relaxed outside and heard the most beautiful sound; the sound of nothing but the wind caressing the trees. What a relief from ambulances and honks! My fiancé and I truly enjoy coming here every year. The natural beauty, the hospitality, the food at the Terrace Grill and the peace here makes Riven Rock Ranch world class! We can whole heartedly say that we found unparalleled comfort in Comfort, TX.

August 19, 2012 (Farm House)--Riven Rock Ranch is the quintessential prescription for relaxation and "recharging" batteries." Far from the madding crowd, the setting is the essence of tranquility. Every day tensions are purged as one listens to the quiet.
The Farm House is exquisitely appointed. Attention to detail and the absolute comfort for guests are off the chart. Porch/patios capitalize on views in all directions. The gourmet breakfast and The Terrace Grill (love the décor!) make a visit here the total package.
We could live here happily ever after!
The owners are visionaries and we thank them (and all staff) for sharing this pastoral perfection with those lucky enough to have found it. We shall return.

August 5, 2012 (Farm House)--This farm house felt like home to us. It was so much more than what we expected and so very lovely; warm, inviting and impeccable. The property is divine. June 30, 2012 (Guest House)--Thank you for this very special place! We have had a wonderful family celebration and so much of our enjoyment was due to this lovely retreat. We are already planning to return next summer.
And we can't say enough about the FOOD! Eggs Benedict with a little kick, the best pork chop I've ever tasted, warm spinach-bacon salad. We rested together - all ages, 70 to 2 years old! - and laughed together, healed old wounds and planned future outings. I wrote under the pavilion and amongst the native plantings. We exercised! See you next summer, we hope!

June 25 - July 1, 2012 (Teacher's Cottage)--Our week here has been more than amazing. This place is such a gem here in Comfort and your hospitality has been beyond anything we expected! The breakfast every morning was spectacular, the serene view is beautiful and the location is so convenient - we were able to visit local towns every day. April 27 - 30, 2012 (Farm House)--What a wonderful place! We've spent 3 days wandering around the area. We've enjoyed seeing the hill country and all the charming towns. However, of all the places we went, we feel that Riven Rock is the best. Your staff is so welcoming and the atmosphere is peaceful and serene. We hope to come back often. Our only complaint is that the food is too good! We've all gained about 10 lbs. Back to the treadmill! Thanks for everything,

April 20 - 22, 2012 (Guest House)--What a wonderful, memorable weekend we've had here at Riven Rock. This was our first family reunion and hopefully won't be the last. We came from all over the U.S. One branch of the family stayed here and the others stayed at Meyer's B&B. We met at the Scenic Loop café on Friday night, had a cookout with games, etc. on Saturday at the Cypress Creek Community Center. Then Saturday night we all gathered at the Terrace Grill for a wonderful dinner!
It has been so relaxing and quiet. The wildflowers were in their glory. Thank you again for your beautiful accommodations! We'll always remember our weekend at RRR!

April, 2012 (Farm House)--Thank you, Southern Living, for highlighting this wonderful ranch. The Farm House was the best; comfortable, calm, quiet mornings on the patio watching the horses, walking to the river, etc and wine tasting at the two wineries up the road and a really good pizza from the new place in Comfort. Everything was great!

April 8, 2012 (Farm House)--We live on a ranch near Brady so we are blessed to enjoy country life every day. But this weekend at Riven Rock Ranch for our son's wedding has been like a "second honeymoon" for my husband and me. We just recently completed our "rustic" ranch house which we love, but if we were ever to build again it would look like the "Farm House!" In particular, I love the little sitting room on the east side of the house! Such a wonderful place to capture the morning beauty anytime of the year. The service and genuine care that is exhibited by all staff was exemplary. The setting of the ranch is gorgeous! The wedding was gorgeous and went so well! Thank you all here at Riven Rock in helping to make this a wonderful memory!

March 17, 2012 (Guest House)--Beautiful, beautiful experience! We loved every moment of our trip here. The house and property are incredible. The food was first class (REALLY!) The property is just magic - hills, deer, wildflowers. The community was so charming and welcoming. We have been visiting the hill country for almost 10 years in spring and fall and this place just scooted to the top of our must return to spots! Thank you for sharing your Valhalla with us.
